A sniff of senior football in 2020 has tackling machine Tom Berry ready to attack season 2021 head on.
Jarrod grew up in Western Victoria in the town of Horsham with his two brothers Joel and Jarrod. After joining the GWV Rebels under 18 program, Tom was hampered by injuries but showed his competitiveness and ability to impact the contest against stronger bodies.
Tom Berry was selected by the Brisbane Lions with the 36th pick in the 2018 AFL Draft. Tom impressed coaches and teammates immediately with his physicality, tackling and pace.
Tom is a heavily involved ambassador for ‘Breast Cancer Network Australia’ after the passing of his mother Jedda in 2013. In 2018 Tom, his brothers and two family friends conducted an event in memory of their loving mother ‘Berry boys and brothers buzz cut for breast cancer’. The event was held in his hometown of Horsham which saw Coach Chris Fagan and other Lions teammates attend the event.
