Ross is a left handed all rounder and a particularly dangerous T20 hitter. He made his first class debut with Derbyshire in 2008 before breaking through in 2011 when he averaged just over 40 and scored a couple of centuries. Ross then played a valuable role in the club’s promotion the following season, hitting the winning runs that promoted them as Division 2 winners into Division 1.
Moving to Worcestershire in the 2013 season Ross continued to shine. He thrashed 84 in 38 balls with nine sixes to help Worcestershire into the T20 quarter-finals in 2014 and it was his unbeaten 91 from 35 deliveries with 11 sixes which swept Worcestershire into the quarter-finals of the T20 Blast in 2015.
Ross was included in the England Performance Squad for the 2015-16 winter and named in the Lions squad for a T20 series against Pakistan A.
Ross is now a vastly experienced T20 player and one of the most feared six hitters in the country. In July 2017, Ross became only the sixth player to strike six sixes in an over when he did so for Worcestershire against Yorkshire. Ross has been in demand on the franchise circuit with stints in PSL, T10 and BPL.
