Matthew is a promising allrounder who made his debut against Sri Lanka A as an 18-year-old and was named Yorkshire’s Young Player of the Year in 2016.

Matthew is a seam bowling all rounder who often takes the new ball and has performed well for Yorkshire in all formats. Injury has curtailed his development over the last 2 seasons, but he has made a full recovery as the 2021 season begins.

Aside from cricket Matthew enjoys watching all varietites of sport be that on screen or live in a stadium. He also enjoys playing other sports such as darts and pool.

Matthew is an outdoor enthusiast and often accompanied by his dogs enjoys walking and exploring.
