A classy midfielder with clean hands, Luke Valente's football ability is matched with his leadership skills both on and off field.
Valente’s leadership started to stand out when he was just 12 year old, bringing teammates into games when he was still only learning himself.
This was the first of many accolades for Valente, as he played at Walkerville Football Club, then progressed to represent Norwood in the state junior programs.
In 2018 Valente was Captain of the victorious South Australia Under 18 side in the National Championships, where he was subsequently was named Vice-Captain of the All-Australian side and named South Australia’s MVP.
Off-field Valente was Head Boy of Rostrevor College, where he also captained the First XVIII.
Valente was picked up by Fremantle in the 2018 National Draft.
Despite some interruptions at the start of his career, Valente has continued to develop his craft as he trains side by side with some of the games elite midfielders.
