Jack is a quality right handed batsman and part time off spin bowler who started his career at Yorkshire . Jack made his List A debut in 2012 and T20 and First Class debuts the following summer. In 2015, Jack had his most productive championship season scoring 922 runs with 2 centuries. Despite being a capped player at Yorkshire, Jack moved to Kent to play his cricket at the start of 2020 and in his second game of championship cricket for Kent he scored his maiden double century.
Even away from cricket Jack is very sporty in general. He is a Sheffield United fan and loves going to watch the team play when he can and is a keen golfer. He is a member of Princes Golf Club in Kent, although enjoys travelling up and down the country to experience different courses.
He is currently an ambassador for Old mill Brewery based in Snaith, near Yorkshire. In 2019, he brewed his first beer with the brewery ‘Jack’s Batch 34’ with 5p from every bottle sold going to the Three Bears Foundation moving towards a cure for pancreatic cancer. In the past, Jack has also helped raise awareness for other cancer charities, including MacMillian and this is something he hopes to continue.
Normally, he will spend his winters over in Sydney playing for Sutherland Cricket Club.
